Their union, meanwhile, has been under administration since 2018, but conspiracies coming out of the Eastern Cape are that they are being kept at the bottom rung to keep them from affecting leadership contests at the upcoming SARU presidential elections, writes Sibusiso Mjikeliso.

It's a question that's needed to be asked for a long time: Is Border Rugby Union being used as a pawn in the South African Rugby Union's power plays?  

SARU cannot seem to get its officials out of the union since putting Border under administration in 2018, and the situation seems to be going from bad to worse.
