52 first stage entries received for 2020 Durban July

Hat-trick seeking Do It Again is one of 10 Justin Snaith charges in an impressive 52-strong listing that were received at first entry stage on Monday for the R1.5 million Grade 1 Vodacom Durban July to be run behind closed doors at Greyville on Saturday, 25 July.

Do It Again won the race in 2018 and 2019 and while he is no guaranteed runner, a decision is expected after the Gold Challenge.

While Snaith’s Drill Hall Stakes winner Bunker Hunt is among the entries, his WSB Guineas winner, Wild Coast, is not an entry at this stage.

The Sporting Post has learnt that, based on lockdown levels, it is hoped that 18 horses can be accommodated in the final field.
