Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos disclosed that the players on the field determine the penalty taker, after Percy Tau missed a pivotal spot-kick during South Africa's 2-0 loss to Mali in their opening Africa Cup of Nations clash on Tuesday.

Prior to Hamari Traore and Lassine Sinayoko's goals, which deflated Broos' charges in the second half, Bafana caught a stroke of luck 17 minutes into the Group E fixture at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo.
