When unveiling his 23-man squad for Bafana Bafana on Monday, head coach Hugo Broos raised eyebrows by implementing 10 changes to the team he had assembled for the Africa Cup of Nations in January and February.

The tournament in Ivory Coast was a successful stint for South Africa as they secured a bronze medal, which was their first podium finish since the 2000 edition when they also finished third.

Broos faces a puzzle of sorts ahead of the FIFA Series.
