Stellies have an early opening as Titus blows Hlanti away for pace. He delivers two crosses but Chiefs cut them both out. Amakhosi try to break but Sithebe's wayward pass puts a stop to the transition.

Offside! After Sithebe's foul, Basadien delivers and Titus draws a save out of Bvuma but it wouldn't have counted.

Chiefs are focused on counters today, they've not really spent much time building up play. Stellies look comfortable so far.

Rayners now gets behind the Chiefs defence after a quick throw-in. He gets to the byline but he can't pick out a teammate as Chiefs get back quickly.

Now Titus is released behind Hlanti again. He tries to deliver a cross but Dove shows his speed to get over, block the cross and win a goalkick. That's fine defensive work.

CHANCE! Oura has an opening for Stellenbosch. De Jong and Titus link up and the latter's smart pass reaches the Ivorian winger. His shot is dragged though and Msimango can clear. Chiefs are living dangerously.

Shabalala wins a corner for Chiefs. Du Preez delivers the outswinger from the right but Toure gets up highest to clear the ball and earn a freekick.

Block! Titus shoots on the half-volley for Stellenbosch but Hlanti makes a good block. The away side are building attacks with ease.

CLOSE! Stellenbosch go up the other end as De Jong is slipped down the side. He rolls a shot across the face, Titus tries to square it for Rayners but the initial effort when out of play.

Mmodi makes a good dribble past Titus and wins a corner off Toure. Du Preez delivers from the left for Chiefs but Sithebe fouls Oura so it comes to zilch.

Wide! Adams goes on a good run and finds Oura. The Ivorian picks out Rayners but the Bafana Bafana goalscorer curls a half-chance wide.

Foul: Duba comes back and trips Adams, then has a little kick at him. The referee has words with the two young men.

Foul: Hlanti's cross for Chiefs is cleared out to Sithebe. The latter does well to draw a freekick in a promising position off Nduli.

Shot! Adams give the ball away cheaply for Stellenbosch. Shabalala intercepts and fires off a shot which hits teammate Du Preez and goes out for a goalkick.

Block! Kwinika goes direct looking for Du Preez. Toure heads it out to Mmodi, who drills a low shot but only into the legs of Maloisane.

Chiefs do better now as Mmodi comes narrow and slides a pass for Duba. He gets past Maloisane but Toure comes over to defend effectively and win the goalkick. Duba is frustrated and kicks the advertising board in frustration.

Chiefs had lacked a bit of spark and organisation and with less wasteful Stellenbosch finishing, the goal would have come earlier. Van Rooyen plays a perfect pass down the side of Hlanti for Titus, who beats Bvuma to the ball and flicks it past the 'keeper into the net. We had to check if Rayners got a touch before it crossed the line but he didn't. It's Titus' goal and Barker's men deserve it. Kaizer Chiefs 0-1 Stellenbosch.

Block! Oura strikes a shot for Stellies and it hits Dove's hand but it came off his leg first and that is never a penalty.

Shot! Saile chops inside for Chiefs onto his left foot. He fires a strike but it lacks power and Stephens saves easily.

Block! Msimango gives the ball away cheaply for Chiefs but he redeems himself but staying close to Rayners and eventually blocking the striker's shot.

Dove goes longer for Chiefs... Mmodi picks up the second ball and has a shot blocked. It comes out for a cross and Du Preez heads wide weakly for Chiefs.

Some slick Chiefs play now as Hlanti finds Du Preez's feet and the striker finds Shabalala's run. He has a shot parried. That was good movement by the hosts.

WIDE! A Chiefs freekick is half-cleared and Saile volleys powerfully over the bar. It took a nick off Adams so Chiefs get a corner but it comes to nothing.

A Chiefs corner is cleared and Mmodi has another strike blocked. Oura leads a counter and is fouled by Dove.

Wide! Chiefs are fighting back. Hlanti gets into the final third for the first time and his cross is excellent but Saile can only head wide under pressure from Basadien.

Saile does well for Chiefs, sprinting back and winning the ball of Sibande, then carrying it 40 yards and earning a freekick off Van Wyk. The Congolese winger has made a real difference.

Chiefs have two shots in a minute. First, the freekick is nodded towards goal by Chivaviro but Toure blocks it and Stephens claims. Then, Castillo meets a cross but heads it straight at Stephens. Amakhosi are having efforts at goal but nothing clear cut at all.

FULL TIME. Stellenbosch win 1-0 at FNB Stadium. They were the better team in the first half and a goal from Titus before half-time gave Stellies the 1-0 lead. They stopped playing a bit after the break but Chiefs' plethora of shots were largely speculative or from set pieces. In the end, Cavin Johnson's side lacked quality and creativity.
