Islamabad - Pakistan offspinner Saeed Ajmal says he wants to compete in next year's Cricket World Cup.
Pakistan will be without Ajmal in next month's series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates after his elbow extension was tested more than twice the allowable limit of 15 degrees.
Ajmal says "I am eyeing staging a strong comeback in the World Cup."
The Pakistan Cricket Board has hired former Test offspinner Saqlain Mushtaq to assist Ajmal in remodeling his bowling action.
Selectors are looking for Ajmal's replacement for one-off Twenty20, three one-day internationals and two Test matches against Australia.
