Cobras allowed to replace JP

Cape Town - The Cape Cobras have been allowed to replace JP Duminy with all-rounder Sybrand Engelbrecht in their Champions League T20 squad.

Duminy was earlier this week ruled out of the tournament with a knee injury and it was uncertain if the Cobras would have been allowed a replacement.

Approval from the CLT20 technical committee about a Cobras replacement was pending as they were yet to receive official documents confirming Duminy's injury.

However, according to Die Burger, approval has been granted and Engelbrecht is allowed to participate in the the tournament in India.

The Cobras begin their campaign against New Zealand's Northern Districts in Raipur on Friday at 16:30 SA time.
