London - English county Nottinghamshire announced on Wednesday that they have signed West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy for part of this year's domestic T20 Blast competition.
Sammy, who captained the West Indies to World Twenty20 glory in 2012, will play four matches in late May and early June, and could return later in the competition if Nottinghamshire reach the knockout stage.
"It's a gap between the IPL and the Caribbean Premier League where Darren was available and keen to play," said Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell.
