Cape Town - Proteas coach Russell Domingo has been tasked with the job of finding the team’s new bowling coach.
This comes after Allan Donald earlier this week resigned from his role as bowling coach of the national team after four years at the helm.
Domingo’s own contract was extended until the end of April 2016, just before this year’s Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The contracts of Domingo’s assistant are set to expire though and Cricket SA confirmed to Netwerk24 that Domingo will be tasked to pick his new coaching team.
However, the candidates puts forward will have to be presented to CSA’s general manager Corrie van Zyl and CEO Haroon Lorgat for approval.
According to reports, Domingo already has an idea of who he wants to appoint, but he has time to ponder before a CSA board meeting on Tuesday, June 2.
Charl Langeveldt (fast bowlers) and Claude Henderson (spinners) were part of the coaching team at the recent World Cup, while Adrian Birrell was the assistant coach.
