Thanks for tuning in!

It was slow-going and hard toil for South Africa's batsmen for most of the day, but in the end they did well to post a commanding lead on this slow surface.

The spinners (Piedt, Duminy and even Elgar) will have a big role to play tomorrow but I don't see Zimbabwe getting too much of a lead. South Africa should still win the Test relatively comfortably.

11 Aug 2014

STUMPS ON DAY 3: Zimbabwe 28/1 after 13 overs.

Run-rate: 2.15 per over.

They trail by 113 runs.

11 Aug 2014

Tiripano has survived Piedt's last 5 deliveries...

11 Aug 2014

With Zimbabwe on 27/1 after 12 overs, Piedt will bowl the final over of the day...

11 Aug 2014

I reckon Tiripano would be a decent night-watchman for the Zimbabweans. He made 15 not out off 80 balls batting at No 9 in their first innings...

11 Aug 2014

OVERS 10: Zimbabwe 25/1

Run-rate: 2.50 per over

They trail by 116 runs.

11 Aug 2014

That was a vicious bouncing delivery by Morkel to Masakadza, who couldn't fend it off properly...

11 Aug 2014

Donald Tiripano is next in for Zimbabwe as a night-watchman.

11 Aug 2014

WICKET! Masakadza is out for 19, caught by AB de Villiers at second slip off the bowling of Morkel.

Zimbabwe 25/1 after 9.1 overs.

11 Aug 2014

Masakadza sweeps Piedt for a MAXIMUM!

So much for just trying to see out the day's play...

11 Aug 2014

No doubt Piedt, Duminy and even Elgar will have a bog role to play in this innings...

11 Aug 2014

Another bowling change for South Africa as off-spinner Dane Piedt comes into the attack.

11 Aug 2014

Morkel stars with a maiden over to Sibanda.

Zimbabwe 18/0 after 8 overs.

5 overs left in the day's play,

11 Aug 2014

A first bowling change for South Africa as Morne Morkel comes into the attack in the 8th over, replacing Philander.

11 Aug 2014

A terrific shot by Masakadza as he punches Steyn off the back foot and through the covers for four.

11 Aug 2014

Philander and Steyn not looking overly threatening here late in the day - which is indicative of the slowness of the pitch...

11 Aug 2014

OVERS 5: Zimbabwe 8/0

Run-rate:1.60 per over

They trail by 133 runs.

11 Aug 2014

Sibanda gets the first boundary of the innings, punching Philander down the ground to take Zimbabwe's tally to 8 after 4 overs.

11 Aug 2014

With Zimbabwe on 4/0 after 3 overs, exactly 200 runs have been scored in the day's play, with 6 wickets going down...

11 Aug 2014

Sibanda was just desperate to get off the mark there...

11 Aug 2014

Oh dear, Sibanda nearly runs out partner Masakadza with a suicidal run, but luckily for Zimbabwe, Alviro Petersen misses the stumps...

11 Aug 2014

Vernon Philander is South Africa's other opener.

11 Aug 2014

Masakadza gets a single off the final delivery of Steyn's first over.

11 Aug 2014

There are 12 overs left in the day's play.

11 Aug 2014

Dale Steyn to open the bowling for South Africa.

11 Aug 2014

Welcome back for Zimbabwe's second innings!

Vusi Sibanda and Hamilton Masakadza are out in the middle for the hosts.

11 Aug 2014

That is also a FIVE-WICKET HAUL for John Nyumbu, claiming 5/157 on debut!

11 Aug 2014

South Africa all out for 397 - a lead of 141 runs.

11 Aug 2014

WICKET! Duminy tries one reverse-sweep to many and is out for 55, caught by Taylor at first slip off the bowling of Nyumbu.

SA all out for 397 in 158.3 overs.

11 Aug 2014

Morne Morkel is the last batsman in for South Africa...

11 Aug 2014

Piedt perhaps a tad unlucky to be given out by umpire Aleem Dar there. On replays, it looked to be going down leg...

11 Aug 2014

WICKET!

Piedt out for 13, trapped LBW by Tiripano.

SA 395/9 after 157.4 overs.

11 Aug 2014

With Duminy past his half-century now, it's time for him to start opening up. No use just mucking about now. A lead of 138 is enough on this pitch. Preferably, South Africa would like to have a go at Zimbabwe's batsmen tonight...

11 Aug 2014

OVERS 155: SA 387/8

Run-rate: 2.49 per over

They lead by 131 runs.

11 Aug 2014

That was Duminy's 6th Test half-century.

11 Aug 2014

HALF-CENTURY for Duminy, coming off 122 balls.

11 Aug 2014

South Africa have really upped the ante now, scoring 48 runs off the last 10 overs!

11 Aug 2014

And the TV picture is back. Luckily not 4 hours like yesterday!

11 Aug 2014

OVERS 150: SA 372/8

Run-rate: 2.48 per over

They lead by 116 runs.

11 Aug 2014

I'll try keep you updated best I can. Yesterday, I did this for 4 hours without any TV coverage...

11 Aug 2014

Oh dear, there is another break in transmission from the ground. Maybe another cable giving issues...

11 Aug 2014

Debutant Dane Piedt is the new batsman in for South Africa, while Zimbabwe's debutant, John Nyumbu, is sniffing a five-wicket haul...

11 Aug 2014

Steyn scored a quick-fire 19 off 18 balls. At least he got on with things!
