Cape Town - Axar Patel completed an outstanding all-round match by bowling India 'A' to victory by an innings and 81 runs over South Africa 'A' on the final day of the unofficial four-day Test series at the Krishnagiri Stadium in Wayanad.
India thus win the series 1-0 after the first match was drawn.
India declared overnight with a first innings lead of 157 runs and then bowled South Africa out in the morning session for 76 with Patel returning the outstanding figures of 6-6-0-4.
This followed his five-wicket haul in the first innings and his third highest score in the Indian innings of 69 not out. His match bowling aggregate was 9/92.
Stiaan van Zyl and Quinton de Kock were the only players to reach double figures in the South African second innings.
