Windies bowl first in Grenada

Grenada - West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo won the toss and chose to bowl against Bangladesh in the first fixture of the three-match ODI series at the National Stadium in Grenada on Wednesday.

Amid the considerable distraction of the replacement of head coach Ottis Gibson, which was only officially announced less than 12 hours before the start of play, the home side omitted all-rounder and former captain Darren Sammy and left-arm spinner Nikita Miller from their final eleven.

Team manager Richie Richardson is performing the role of coach on an interim basis for the series.

In their first campaign away from home for the year, Bangladesh left out a couple of their experienced bowlers in spinner Abdur Razzak and seamer Rubel Hossain.

Teams:

West Indies: Chris Gayle, Lendl Simmons, Kirk Edwards, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo (captain), Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Jason Holder, Kemar Roach, Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Imrul Kayes, Shamsur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim (captain), Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Sohag Gazi, Mashrafe Mortaza, Taskin Ahmed, Al-Amin Hossain

Umpires: Joel Wilson (TRI), Richard Kettleborough (ENG)

TV Umpire: Aleem Dar (PAK)

Match Referee: Jeff Crowe (NZL)
