Cape Town - The Proteas' demise in Nagpur on Thursday morning - they were skittled for 79 by the Indian spinners - caused quite a stir in the cricketing community.

Some are saying that the pitch is unacceptable and not conducive to competitive Test cricket, while others argue that the Proteas should "man-up" ... that Australia never complained when they were dismissed for 47 in Cape Town on a seam-friendly wicket in 2011 and that battling against the conditions is a part of what makes Test cricket the ultimate 'test'.
Well, Australian spin legend Shane Warne has his own views on what the game needs moving forward.
Posting on his Facebook page, Warne had some rather bold suggestions that he thought would improve Test cricket.
This is what he proposed:
1) Test matches should last four days, with 100 overs bowled per day.
2) Each day should have two 30 minute breaks, and overall playing time should be extended by 30 minutes.
3) There should be no toss in Test cricket. Instead, the away captain should choose whether he wants to bat or bowl. This, according to Warne, would stop pitches being prepared to benefit the home team.
4) The Duke ball should be used in every country because it swings and seams more, while the white Kookaburra should be used in ODI and T20s.
.@cutmaker My thoughts on test cricket & what should happen !!! Agree ????? More thoughts to come !!!!!! https://t.co/Ycs6DGqcvq
