Horschel, Garcia commit to CIMB

London - Newly crowned American FedExCup champion Billy Horschel and world No 3 Sergio Garcia of Spain will vie for the CIMB Classic title in Malaysia next month, organisers said on Friday.

England's Lee Westwood has also committed to the tournament, where Ryan Moore of the US will seek to defend his title at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club from October 30 to November 2.

Horschel won the US PGA's Tour Championship tournament last weekend, which also clinched for him the season-ending FedExCup and its payoff of $10 million.

The FedExCup essentially recognises the PGA Tour's season champion, based on points earned throughout the year for sustained performance.

Notable Asian golfers in the field will include Japan's Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Ishikawa, the Asian Tour said.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
