Manager: Schumacher improving

Gland - Michael Schumacher's manager says the seven-time Formula One champion is still improving, almost 17 months after suffering severe head injuries in a skiing accident.

Sabine Kehm says in a video interview: "We are happy to say still he does improvement and I say this always considering the severity of the injury he had."

She adds: "But of course it will take a very long time for everybody involved to fight, and we are happy to take this fight."

The interview was released Friday in a promotion for a sponsor.

A watch which Schumacher helped design was presented at an event this week near his home where he is recovering.

Schumacher won a record seven Formula One titles and 91 races.

He was injured when skiing during a French Alps vacation.
