Bulls satisfied after Japan trip

Cape Town - The Blue Bulls are satisfied after a successful pre-season clash in Japan last week.

The Blue Bulls outplayed their hosts, the Canon Eagles, in Tokyo last Friday, winning 50-3.

The visitors dominated all facets of play and scored eight tries in total.

The Bulls’ captain on the day, Lappies Labuschagne, said the trip to Japan was worth it.

“It was a hard fought game and we really enjoyed it,” Labuschagne was quoted as saying on the Bulls’ official website.

The Canon Eagles’ captain, Ryohei Mitomo, said the men from Pretoria were too good for his side.

“They put us under a lot of pressure and that forced up to make mistakes,” commented Mitomo.

The Bulls start their Currie Cup campaign away to the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein this Saturday (14:15 kick-off).
