Stadium management's chief executive Chantal Du Pisani and Charl Crous, EP Rugby chief executive along with representatives from the Mount Road SAPS visited the victim on Monday.
"He is recovering well and is in relatively good spirits," said Du Pisani.
"Stadium management and EP Rugby will collectively revisit our rugby planning to ensure that such an incident does not re-occur.
"The safety of supporters is and remains our top priority."
They also both emphasised a zero tolerance approach to violence in the stadium.
"We want to reassure the public that our security measures remain intact and that the stadium is a safe venue," said Du Pisani.
Stadium management and EP Rugby called on the public to come forward and share any information regarding the incident or alleged perpetrator with the police.
