Kings eager to sign WP lock

Cape Town - The Eastern Province Kings are reportedly interested in luring Western Province lock Tazz Fuzani to Port Elizabeth.

Fuzani, 23, made a promising debut for WP in last year's Currie Cup, but appears to have fallen out of favour with WP/Stormers coach Allister Coetzee.

Fuzani's contract with WP expires at the end of the Currie Cup season, and according to his agent, there will be more clarity on his future next month.

"I take note of the interest in my client, but according to regulations we can only make a decision on July 1," Hilton Houghton told Wednesday's Die Burger.

Fuzani was part of the Stormers' Super Rugby squad this season, but played most of his rugby for WP's Vodacom Cup side.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
