Cape Town - TB Joshua, known around the world as the "prophet of God", previously prayed for Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks Joost van der Westhuizen and Ruben Kruger.

Last Friday, a multi-storey guest house belonging to Joshua's church collapsed in Lagos, Nigeria, killing 67 South Africans.
Van der Westhuizen, 43, a veteran of 89 Tests for the Springboks, has been living with motor neuron disease since 2011. The condition usually leaves patients with two to five years to live after diagnosis.
Kruger, who tasted World Cup success in 1995, visited Joshua while he battled brain cancerfor 10 years. Kruger sadly succumbed to the sickness two months short of his 40th birthday in January 2010.
Other SA rugby players known to have visited Joshua include Jaco van der Westhuyzen, who, according to Wikipedia, claims his career threatening knee ligament injury was miraculously healed immediately following prayer. He has since returned to Joshua's Synagogue Church of All Nations (Scoan) and remains friends with Joshua.

Former Springbok and Blue Bulls lock Wium Basson also flew to Lagos to visit Joshua. However, he returned disappointed, when, after queuing for hours, the faith healer did not see him.
Basson died shortly thereafter from terminal cancer at the age of 25.
