Sharks ponder Super Rugby coach

Cape Town - The Sharks are expected to name their new Super Rugby coach and successor to Jake White within the next two weeks.

White left the Sharks in mysterious circumstances last month with reports indicating there was growing discord between himself and management, as well as with the players.

Brad MacLeod-Henderson took charge of the Sharks during the Currie Cup, but it's unlikely that he'll be the head coach during Super Rugby.

According to Beeld, MacLeod-Henderson will know within the next two weeks what role, if any, he'll play with the team during Super Rugby, as the Sharks name White's successor.

It is believed that MacLeod-Henderson, along with his assistants - Paul Anthony and Sean Everitt - will form part of a deputy coaching trio under the new head coach.

Former Springbok assistant coach Gary Gold is the bookies' favourite to take the helm, with Brendan Venter, John Mitchell and Nick Mallett also mentioned.
