Leyds heading back to WP

Cape Town - Western Province managed to lure former Baby Bok fullback Dillyn Leyds back from the Western Force.

The talented playmaker was a standout player for the victorious Western Province Under-21 team last year, before deciding to join his former UCT coach, Kevin Foote, at the Western Australian Super Rugby franchise.

Leyds, who can also play flyhalf, is one of eight South African players on the Force's books.

WP Rugby CEO, Rob Wagner, confirmed that Leyds will return to Cape Town at the conclusion of this year's Super Rugby competition and will be available for WP in the Currie Cup.

His contract will extend until the end of the 2015 season.

"Dillyn is heading back to the Stormers. I think it was in any case a good move for him to go to Australia, as the time spent out of his comfort zone would have made him more mature," Wagner told Die Burger's website.

Wagner added that Springbok Sevens player, Seabelo Senatla, would also be available for WP during the Currie Cup.

The speedster, who scored seven tries for the Baby Boks in last year's Junior World Championship, is jointly contracted by WP and SARU.
