Mashaba picked a youthful Bafana Bafana squad to for the nation's opening two 2015 AFCON qualifiers, but appears not to have the backing of Sport24's readers.

In a poll conducted on Sport24, readers were asked: "Will Shakes Mashaba ensure Bafana Bafana qualify for AFCON 2015?"
Over 1 000 readers (36% of the votes cast) chose the ominous option "No chance, Bafana Bafana are doomed for failure".
Just over 850 readers (30%) preferred to sit on the fence on the topic by selecting the "Maybe, he's got a 50-50 chance of ensuring qualification" option.
Shakes Mashaba's Bafana team received the backing of almost 950 readers (34%), who displayed some optimism in the national side by opting to throw their weight behind the "Yes, he will get the team there with ease" option.
South Africa face Group A opponent Sudan (ranked 36th in Africa) on Friday, September 5 in Khartoum and then return home to face Nigeria (ranked No 1 in Africa) in Cape Town on Wednesday, September 10.
