Sterling to report for Reds training

Cape Town - Under-fire England international Raheem Sterling will report to first team training at Liverpool on Monday.

The Independent report that Raheem Sterling will join his Liverpool colleagues at training on Monday despite continued interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City.

The Reds have rejected two offers for Sterling but the Citizens are expected to launch a third bid this week.

Sterling rejected Liverpool's efforts to extend his stay at the Anfield club with the player now facing the embarrassment of returning to training after failing to secure an early summer move.

Liverpool leave for their pre-season tour of Thailand on Sunday.

The Reds are reportedly refusing to lower their £50 million valuation of Sterling, placing his exit from Liverpool in jeopardy.
