Ramsey: Wales ready for Belgium

London - Surging Wales can defeat top-notch Belgium in June and close in on reaching the finals of Euro 2016 in France, Aaron Ramsey believes.

Chris Coleman's men were impressive in defeating Israel 3-0 in Haifa on Saturday night, a win that put them top of the Group B qualifier.

Next up is a home game on June 12 against group favourites Belgium, who thrashed Cyprus 5-0 in Brussels.

The Red Devils, ranked fourth in the world, will top the group by beating Israel in Jerusalem on Tuesday but Wales held Belgium in Brussels in November and Ramsey believes they can get the better of them in the return in Cardiff.

"We'll be looking forward to Belgium," Ramsey said after opening the scoring against Israel with his ninth international goal.

"It's a tough game but we are full of confidence at the moment. We are top of the group, so why can't we win the game?"

Ramsey took to Twitter after the match, dedicating the victory to his late Grandmother:

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
