Ajax, Birds share Diski points

Cape Town - Moroko Swallows came from behind to salvage a draw against Ajax Cape Town in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge.

Bantu Mzwakali gave Ajax the lead in the 49th minute with a calm finish when Franklin Cale gave him a superb reverse pass.

Ajax came close to doubling their lead on more than one occasion with Michael Kwong, Bantu Mzwakali and Franklin Cale launching numerous attacks, however, the Swallows keeper was up to the task.

Mike Motombe levelled matters for the Dube Birds 10 minutes later to ensure both sides share the points.

Overall a good performance from the Urban Warriors, as some of the more experienced players in the mould of Franklin Cale, Lance Davids and Dominic Isaacs leading the younger players from the Ikamva club said Ajax’s website.

Wednesday the competition continues when Ajax go up against Polokwane City at 14:00 in the Nike Centre in Soweto.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
