Barker unsure of Aces future

Cape Town - Former Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Clive Barker, now head of youth development the club, was due to chat with chairman Mario Morfou later on Wednesday over the prospect of the franchise selling its PSL rights to relegated AmaZulu.

Barker, who has also coached Usuthu, said he was not certain of how a potential deal would affect the current members of the Aces setup.

“I’m not quite sure yet. I’m waiting to talk to Mario. I know what’s transpired but I’m waiting to find out exactly what is going to happen to the individual players,” Barker told Sport24.

A report on The Citizen’s website earlier on Wednesday saw Aces head coach Mushin Ertugral confirm the deal, though club officials and the PSL were yet do so.
