According to KickOff, the 25-year-old signed for SuperSport United after netting 22 goals and shines the light on his former teammates for getting him where he is today.

"It was a good season, a very hard season - it is not easy to score so many goals in the NFD. The level there is difficult, it's not easy," Bhengu said.

"I will say a special thanks to my teammates who made it possible and a special thanks to my team Thanda Royal Zulu.

"It is heartbreaking and it is sad [to miss out on the Play-Offs] because it seems as if I was the only one that shined throughout the season, but it was the team that made me shine. That is football."
