Big guns kept apart in TKO

Johannesburg - Platinum Stars will begin their Telkom Knockout title defence at home against Chippa United.

The opening round draw, which took place in Johannesburg on Monday evening saw the champions, Dikwena, handed a draw against the newly-promoted Chilli Boys.

Meanwhile, the pick of the draw will see a Pretoria derby when Mamelodi Sundowns host cross-town rivals AmaTuks.

Last year's runners-up, Orlando Pirates are set to take on Polokwane City.

The dates and times of the matches are to be announced at a later stage.

Wits v Moroka Swallows,
SuperSport United v Free State Stars
Ajax Cape Town v  Black Aces
Platinum Stars v Chippa United
Mamelodi Sundowns v University of Pretoria
Kaizer Chiefs v Maritzburg United
Orlando Pirates v Polokwane City
AmaZulu v Bloemfontein Celtic

The matches will be played the weekend of October 3-5 with the PSL cup committee to announce exact dates, venues and kickoff time later this week.
