Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs duo Tefu Mashamaite and Stuart Baxter have walked away with the monthly PSL awards.
Defender Tefu Mashamaite walked away with the Player of the Month award and the R5 000 cash prize on Friday when the PSL announced the winners of their monthly awards.
Tefu Mashamaite said: "I'm humbled about this award. It's all about perseverance."
Mashamaite's coach Stuart Baxter won the award for PSL Coach of the Month.
"It's very nice to get awards. Football is a game of opinions." Baxter told reporters.
Heading into Saturday's clash against Sundowns, Baxter acknowledged that the job is far from over.
"We have made a good start but it's not over until the fat lady sings." added Baxter.
