Zwane unfazed by compliments

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane he will continue to work hard and improve in order to get the best out of his ability.

According to Sundowns’ website, off the field Zwane is often described as shy, reserved or a man of few words but the same can’t be said about his football abilities and talent overall.

After a week of arrival at Chloorkop current captain Alje Schut singled out Zwane as one player who has amazed him during training and the Dutch defender went as far as predicting a very bright future for the midfielder.

“There are a lot of talented players at Sundowns and in the country, so if you get a chance to be part any team you have to be ready to grab the opportunity,” said Zwane.

While the player was on loan at Mpumalanga Black Aces, coach Clive Barker hailed the Tembisa born player as the next best thing in South African football. In fact the former Bafana Bafana coach likened the player to South African soccer legend Doctor Khumalo.

‘Mshishi’ as the player is affectionately known says he doesn’t get carried away by the compliments but rather focuses on working hard and improving his technique.

“I appreciate all the compliment from people but I never let it get to my head. I just focus on my job and work hard towards improving my technique”

Sundowns’ next game is in the Telkom Knockout Challenge when try avoid first round exit against University of Pretoria on Saturday, October 4 at Loftus Stadium.
