Cape Town - AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee has remained unfazed despite their wretched start to the Premiership season.

The 44-year-old insisted on that he will not quit because it is not in his nature to give up when the chips are down.

AmaZulu face Bloemfontein Celtic in a Telkom Knockout clash at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday, October 4.

“Only a coward resigns. Are you asking me to go into battle and when the heat is on, expect me to run away?”

“There is heat but if I resign, what does that say about me? That when the going gets tough, I then run away? In the time of adversity, your true character and the test of it is shown, whether it is now or later in the season.”

“One never runs away from a fight and at the end of the day, when the going is good, it is easy. When it is tough and when things are not going your way, this is when you need to show that you are made of sterner stuff and you can be counted.”

Usuthu need to win, especially after an atrocious start to the league campaign, and Rosslee hoped that the team can use Saturday as a springboard for better things to come in the season.

“The will to win has to be there in order for us to win these games and we have been conceding early. In regards with Celtic, we need to ensure that we don't concede early because they are a team that knows how to hold out small leads," he said.

Kick-off is at 20:15.
