Pirates to host press conference for Lekgwathi

Cape Town - Long-serving Orlando Pirates defender Lucky Lekgwathi's future will soon be finalized, with reports linking him to a role in the club's management structure.

Since joining Pirates in 2002 from Ria Stars, Lekgwathi had been a loyal servant and captain of the club.

The veteran's career is well into its twilight, though, after being on the sidelines the entirety of last season due to a series of niggling injuries.

Although the 38-year-old has been training with the Buccaneers in pre-season, an announcement on his future is expected soon.

"We will be having a press conference regarding Lucky. He is still a player for Orlando Pirates," coach Eric Tinkler told KickOff.

"As you have seen he is now training fully with the team. But we will be having a press conference to put you in a picture with what will be happening with him in future."
