According to KickOff, the former Bafana Bafana coach is trying to lure all the players he coached during his stint as the national side’s mentor.
“Obviously right now this is a sensitive matter in Chloorkop and everyone has been instructed not to say anything until the matter has been finalised,” an unnamed source reveals.
“But the club is pursuing Khune because they know he will be a free agent and therefore can talk to any team of his choice.”
While other Bafana players have not been named it is said that Mosimane is an admirer of Lebese and would love to bring the midfielder to Chloorkop.
“There is also George [Lebese]. The club wants him too and is silently pursuing him because the coach also admires him.”
Itumeleng Khune is out of contract at the end of next month meaning that should he not agree a new deal at Chiefs, Sundowns are free to sign "Spiderkid" on a free transfer.
Khune is a youth academy product of Chiefs and made his senior side debut in 2004.
The Ventersdorp-born star made his international debut in March 2008, against Zimbabwe and has over 60 caps for the national team.
