Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to maintain their complete dominance over Platinum Stars this season when the two sides lock horns in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals on Sunday.
The two PSL giants have already squared off three times this term, once in the league and twice in the MTN8, with Amakhosi emerging victorious on each occasion, including in both legs of their Wafa Wafa semi-final, where Dikwena were defending champions.
Stars have not been the only victims of Chiefs, though, with Stuart Baxter's men having run rampant in 2014/15, winning all of their outings leading up to the recent round of midweek Premiership fixtures, where their 100 percent run was finally ended following the 1-1 draw against Moroka Swallows.
Meanwhile, things are very different in Rustenburg, where Dinaledi have not managed a victory in their last six outings, with four of those having ended in defeat, including their last two matches, against Maritzburg United and Ajax Cape Town respectively.
That horror run has left Allan Freese's men 13th in the standings, just two points clear of the relegation zone, and now in real danger of failing in another title defence, having lifted the Ziwa Mo title as part of a cup double last season.
On the team front, neither side have any suspension concerns to worry about, although Chiefs duo George Maluleka and Reneilwe Letsholonyane are each just one booking away from picking up match bans.
Itumeleng Khune, meanwhile, is nearing a return to fitness, but this weekend's clash comes too soon for the captain, while Bernard Parker is expected to miss out as he recovers a bruised bone.
For Stars, only Vuyo Mere is treading the suspension tightrope as he enters the match with three yellow cards to his name, although the club reported no fresh injury problems ahead of the tie.
Kick-off is at 15:00 at FNB Stadium on Sunday, October 26.
