WATCH: Octopus tries to escape its aquarium tank

Cape Town - Just a week ago, we showed you a video of an octopus darting out of its rock pool to attack an unsuspecting crab

This week another octopus was filmed trying to escape its tank at the Seattle Aquarium.

Watch the video here

What's happening? Why are they feeling so restless?

Whatever the case may be we're kind of in awe about how cool these sea creatures really are.

I mean, just look at those expressive tentacles!

And then someone was actually brave enough to push him back in

Pretty insane!

Also, did you know, when threatened or during a hunt, an octopus can fit through a hole the size of its eye?!

Apart from their amazing physical traits, there is a growing body of evidence proving that octopuses are some of the most extraordinarily intelligent creatures on the planet. According to an article on io9, octopuses display an intelligence similar to humans - they are able to solve problems and make complex connections between ideas.

Some have even displayed an affinity for clairvoyance - remember Paul, who predicted results for the 2010 soccer world cup?

Well, if you'd like to get up close and personal with one of these amazing creatures, but don't necessarily want to expose yourself to their swift movements out of rock pools, both uShaka Marine World in Durban and Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town are home to these creatures.

The one at Two Oceans Aquarium is known as Occy, and if you ask one of the aquarium staff members, they will be able to tell you impressive stories about his intellect!
