Photos of the Day: Rhinos and their Babies


Cape Town - The 22nd of September is World Rhino Day, an international initiative creating awareness for the protection of these wonderful ancient creatures. 

In the past 3 years, the rhinos of Africa especially have been hunted down savagely and greedily because of the obscure belief that rhino horns have various medicinal qualities. 

The media has been flooded with gruesome images and footage of mutilated innocent creatures and their young after they have been attacked - some still barely alive after the attacks. 

Today, however, social media has seen glorious photos of the rhinos and their chubby babies. So, in honour of World Rhino Day and the wonderful, graceful animals this day serves to highlight, here are some adorable rhino pics:
