Cape Town - No, this is not a clip from some obscure Pirates of the Caribbean movie. This 30 meter-high gravity-defying waterfall, the tallest waterfall in the Peak District of England, is in fact REAL!
Instead of the natural flow of water that should be rushing down the cliffs of the Kinder Downfall, these waves of water are flowing upwards when the wind allows it.
Watch a video of the weird waterfall here
According to Mashable, extremely strong winds felt from the Hurricane Gonzalo reached northwestern England on Tuesday 21 October, and caused the falls to turn upside down! The winds recorded on these outskirts of the hurricane were of speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
We can't help to wonder what would happen should you decide to jump off the waterfall's edge in these conditions...?
