Cape Town - Passengers on board a low-cost Ryanair flight from Murcia in Spain to London's Stansted Airport were horrified when the cabin crew informed them that there was no toilet paper and milk available on the three hour flight.
The cabin crew informed the passengers of the absence of this ultra-important commodity before take-off in the safety demonstration already, saying that the officials at the Spanish airport had failed to make the delivery of the loo paper and milk in time.
A passenger on board the flight, Shaun O'dea, told Britain's The Sun that people had horrified expressions on their faces as the news was shared with them. He said that the incident was an appalling one as they are paying for the basic facilities on board flight.
The Sun named Ryanair the best "loo-cost carrier" around.
A spokesperson for Ryanair told Daily Mail that the incident was a rare and regrettable stock shortage caused by the failure of our handling agents in Murcia to deliver toilet rolls and milk sachets that had been ordered on the turnaround in Murcia.
He said that the crew explained to the passengers on board the drip dry flight that they would rather prioritize an on-time arrival in London, that having to wait around indefinitely for the toilet paper and milk to arrive.
The incident occurred on a flight out of Spain on Sunday, 26 April.
