Cape Town - South African Airways (SAA) has confirmed flights between Johannesburg and New York are operating on schedule.
Flights for Monday and Tuesday were cancelled due to bad weather in the north-east US, affecting up to 20 percent of Americans.
Flight SA 203, although initially cancelled, operated as normal from Johannesburg to New York via Dakar on Tuesday evening.
"The decision to resume operations to New York follow the continuous monitoring of weather conditions and a favourable forecast report for Wednesday," said SAA spokesperson Tlali Tlali.
"Flight SA204 is expected operate from New York to Johannesburg on Wednesday, 28 January 2015."
