Cape Town - One can only guess the amounts of man-handling your luggage receives whilst you're on the plane, oblivious to what's happening to the cargo at the back of the plane.
For the musicians from the Australian group Thundamentals, however, their wildest guesses were exceeded when they were able to see, and film, from the window seats inside the aircraft, how an airport employee threw their musical equipment onto a conveyor belt carrying the luggage.
Which is most astonishing, is that their musical instruments, which included a keyboard, were clearly marked 'fragile'!
Fans were outraged by the incident, and some demanded that the employee be laid off.
Since their post on Facebook on Friday 21 November, the carrier, Virgin Australia, apologised. Daily Mail reported that the airline said in a statement that they sincerely apologise to the Thundamentals for the mishandling of their luggage and that Virgin Australia always endeavours to take care of our guests’ luggage.
They said they are investigating this particular incident.
