Cape Town - In a bid to update their national flag, the New Zealand government has invited citizens to submit designs.
Forming part of the Flag Consideration Project, submissions are open till August 2015, with a final decision set to be made in a referendum in early 2016
While it sounds like a great and patriotic idea in principle, if the gallery of images submitted so far is anything to go by, it seems to be backfiring somewhat royally.
