WATCH: Monk slaps English teacher on Thai train for offering his seat to 2 ladies

Cape Town - It seems as if this monk needs a little bit more meditation than he might have thought... As he was filmed slapping an English teacher on a Thailand train because the man had offered up his double seat to 2 ladies, reports Daily Mail.

It is yet unclear what sparked the monk's aggression, but it seems that he might have misunderstood his victim's kind gesture. 

After the slapping took place, a police officer was summoned and he removed the overly-aggressive monk from the carriage. The incident took place on a train travelling from Bangkok to Phitsanulok, according to the Bangkok Post.

'Jeff', as he was later named in a video statement posted to Facebook (posted below), said he was 'sabai, sabai' meaning that he was fine.
