Cape Town - Most of us swim under the false premise that sharks only ever attack in deep waters. But this video of a hammerhead shark chasing after a stingray will shatter that perception for sure.
Taken off the coast of Destin, Florida it shows how a holidaymaker tries to warn two unsuspecting people in the water as the shark inches closer and closer.

Back on South African shores, our beaches and waves are seen as a surfing Utopia at best - but these do not come without the risk of sharks either. The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board (KZNSB) has announced it will begin testing an electronic shark repellent cable in October in an attempt to prevent future shark attacks.
"If this system works, it will keep sharks and bathers at a safe distance from each other without harming either humans or sharks," the board's CEO Mthokozisi Radebe said.
