Cape Town - If you're in search of a quiant, European-feel breakaway before Christmas hits you'd better head to Franschhoek this weekend to soak up the sun at Festive Franschhoek.
The wine farms, cafés and blooming gardens all make this weekend like an overseas holiday, for cheaper! For the Festive Franschhoek weekend, accommodation rates are reduced, and shops will stay open until the evening. Plenty of the prestigious wine farms will also put their best feet forward to welcome festive guests.
Retailers participating in the Festive Franschhoek weekend, include Peacock Blue, Indian Summer, Masquerade Antiques & Things and Troll Beads.
The wine estates are a big highlight and attraction to the festivities. LaMotte and the Pierneef à La Motte restaurant offers a unique cultural dining experience to enjoy, whilst renowned Reuben’s and the Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards are also big favourites, serving up gourmet meals with a home-style twist.
