Stellenbosch goes to Jozie

Cape Town - Joburgers, whip out your diaries. The annual Stellenbosch at Summer Place in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, will be happening on Wednesday, the 15th of October this year.

The event, sponsered by Sanlam, aims to give the guys from Egoli a taste of the Winelands by bringing top chefs, local acts and the best wines in the country to their doorstep.

This year the event is celebrating its 5th year, and all stops has been pulled out to ensure only the creme de la creme is present at Stellenbosch at Summer Place.

The AmaZink Allstars, the township act from Kayamandi, will be one of the main performances at the event. This unique performing act is assembled from the township's people who has no previous experience on stage. AmaZink Live, however, gives people a platform to hone their talents and show them off. The act will be lead by performer and director Ramaine Berreiro-LLoyd at the event.

Other acts will include Joseph Tebogo Louw, Anele Mrali, Khanyiswa Joyi Ashtevhann Mintoot and Lelethu Zulu.

The great chefs representing the Winelands will be the acclaimed Micheal Broughton of Terroir, Bertus Basson of Overture, Christiaan Campbell of Delaire Graff Estate, Gregory Czarnecki of Waterkloof Restaurant and Tanja Kruger of Makaron Restaurant at Majeka House. Much appreciation will certainly be shown by hungry fans of these culinary masters.

There will also be more than 70 world-class wines available to pair with the culinary creations of the chefs.
