Season of Sauvignon
What: The Durbanville Wine Valley opens its doors to Sauvignon lovers to enjoy the official start of the season with them. Highly acclaimed wine farms like Diemersdal, Nitida, Hillcrest and Durbanville Hills will impress visitors with phenomenal wine and food tastings.

Bedford Garden Festival
What: This small Midland Karoo town has some of the oldest and most beautiful gardens in our country. The landscape resembles that of an old English countryside, with the added benefit of being slap-bang in the middle of the Karoo in our beautiful SA. This is definitely a bucket-lister for any travelling garden lover.

Bierfest Johannesburg Round 2
What: In the spirit of Oktoberfest, South Africa throws a German themed Bierfest of note. The festival travels through SA and is currently doing a second round in Jozie. Expect Bratwurst, an authentic Oompah band and yes, plenty of beer-carrying Fraulein at your service.

Good Food & Wine Show Durban
What: Surfer dude and MasterChef Australia contestant Hayden Quinn will be the star of this year's Good Food & Wine Show in Durban. Other international and South African foodie personalities will also strut their stuff and wow visitors with their amazing gastronomic inventions. Expect plenty of yummy tastings and freebies!

Greyton Rose Fair
What: The town of Greyton hosts its 23rd annual Rose Fair. This year, the theme 'Exploring the senses' sure seems fitting since the festival is in celebration of the beautiful roses grown in the Overberg. The small town also hosts a fantastic market every Saturday morning, so go early to enjoy every bit of this Greyton day.

The Spier Secret Food & Wine Festival, Conference & Market
What: The sleek, well-establish and organised conference returns to one of the winelands' most beautiful spots. The first day of the festival is filled with enlightening talks, workshops and demonstrations of established foodies and chefs, while the second day sees the laid-back market and an interesting "Brazilian biltong braai and preserved" dinner on the beautiful Spier estate.
