I love the shoe trends this season. It seems anything goes, everything from vintage inspired Louis heels to studded super high platforms.

1. Extra height is slimming.
There is no doubt that adding extra height can take centimeters off your look. So how high should you go? This will vary for every woman. The style of heel and fit of the shoe will make a big difference to how wearable the shoe actually is. Usually, the better the fit, the higher you can go.
Go through the shoes you have and take note of the style of shoes you can wear all day verses the ones that hurt you after a few minutes. Once you are clear on which styles fit you best, then start shopping for shoes that meet that criteria.
2. Be practical.
I know this sounds very boring especially when we are talking about shoes BUT if you can’t walk in them with grace, don’t buy them! Hobbling in heels can instantly ruin even the most well put together outfit.
3. Balance your calf.
If you have chunky calves, a super skinny heel is going to make them look chunkier. Likewise, shapeless calves will look more shapeless when wearing an overly chunky heel. It’s all about creating balance. When you get the balance right, your favourite sexy heel will be easier to walk in too.
