The product is backed by ATS’s after-sales service and support. All Simpson helmets imported by ATS meet International Automotive Federation standards are fully HANS (head and neck support) compatible and work with Simpson’s in-house frontal head restraint, the Pro Rage hybrid.
Simpson helmets are made from autoclave-moulded carbon fibre for a strong and light product.
STATE OF THE ART
Simpson’s helmet design legacy dates back to the 1970’s. In 1979, 23 of 33 Indianapolis 500 qualifiers used the then new RX-1 helmet designed to provide maximum protection.
Simpson makes helmets for off-road racing. The company said it has “a helmet design to make sure the air you breathe is pure and clean”.
The Diamondback is now in stock at ATS Motorsport , in black or white, at R11 250.
