ROME, Italy - Former Ferrari president Luca Cordero Di Montezemolo is gaining support to lead Rome's bid for the 2024 Olympics.
Long-time IOC member Mario Pescante told The Associated Press: "I have to say he's perfect because of his experience in both international sports and business."
Italian Olympics committee president Giovanni Malago is expected to announce Montezemolo's appointment early in February.
