GMSA has announced its all-new Chevrolet Sonic will debut at the Johannesburg International Motor Show in October, before going on sale here.
The new hatchback was first shown to the world at the Detroit Auto Show held in January, 2011, as what was touted as a replacement for the Aveo range.
Sonic is decidedly more aggressively styled than the current Aveo and shows yet another interpretation of Chev’s current “family look”.
DETAILS TO FOLLOW
However, GMSA was reluctant to say where exactly it would be positioned in the South African line-up and only added that the model line-up and pricing will be announced “at a later stage”.
Sonic is available in five-door hatchback and sedan body styles and should carry a range of engines familiar to GM products.
Safety items include up to ten airbags, ABS and brake assist.
